If you’re a fan of Chinese cuisine, then you’ve probably heard of dumplings. These small, bite-sized wonders are a staple in Chinese cooking and come in wide varieties. There’s a dumpling for everyone, from steamed to fried, pork to vegetable. I make dumplings for Easter because it’s time-consuming for me weekly. My relatives always ask about them, so here I am, releasing my dumpling recipe to the world!
Honestly, this bite-size deliciousness is super easy to put together. The love you put into them when folding the dumplings is what takes a long time.
Ingredients
1 package of ground turkey
¼ cup of scallions
1/8 tsp of white pepper
1 tbsp of soy sauce
1 package of wonton wrappers
Step-by-Step Dumplings Instructions
- Combine the ground turkey, scallions, white pepper, and soy sauce. Don’t over-mix because that will make the turkey hard when cooked.
- Take a wonton wrapper and place one heaping tsp of the mixture in the center of the wrapper. Choose half a side to fold and pinch into a fan shape. Repeat with the rest of the wrappers.
- Use a steamer (here’s my favorite) or boil a large pot of water.
- Gently put the dumplings into the steamer when ready or into the large pot of boiling water. Cook for 15-20 minutes in a steamer or 10 minutes in boiling water until they float to the surface.
Enjoy!
